Didn't think I was the 1%, but whatever...

  1. I'm a vet student...we agree, and so do many of our professors, yet our administration is still planning on adding students, despite us expressing our concerns. We're all worried about finding jobs when we graduate.

  2. Fledgling, I worry about you guys, and about the future of our profession. I love what I do, but when my own alma mater is adding 25 pricey out-of-state slots and hitting up alums for $$ to build a shiny new mult-million dollar small animal hospital, I get pretty disillusioned. The 'ivory tower' admins just don't have a clue about the real world. Best of luck to you and your classmates.

  3. I agree 100%. My school has increased in size since I started and the administration is clueless... but increasing tuition annually seems to be their only solution. My $160,000 debt along with my husband's matching debt (curse of marrying a vet student) is very, very scary...
